Why were the best anime series like Naruto discontinued from the Indian television?
It all revolves around a nightmare which became true i.e. "Disappearance of Animax from
India"...
Well,
for the answer to this question, we would have to go back in time.
The
time when Animax
network first
came to broadcast in India and believe me, there were only very few
people who knew, what this channel was really for.
So, first, it broadcasted some animes in Hindi language( one of them
was Naruto) too yet it failed to get popular and as a consequence,
Animax stopped them from broadcasting.
The network was not getting
profit in simple words.
But
soon, it started again, but this time with some more varieties of
anime and the targeted age group was increased too, as we know
sometimes, anime can be inappropriate for kids. This time, the shows
were in the Japanese language with English subtitles. Though after 2012,
the viewers increased it was not enough. And NARUTO
was
also airing through the time.And as the end, Animax India network was totally called off by the Sony network, again due to forever undergoing TRP.
I still remember at that time, bleach was completed and fairy tail’s
tartoras ark was going on, with some other animes and of course
Naruto also.
But
you know, it failed just due to the TRP and that Sony
YAY started
to show up with some illogical shows for kids and Animax, the only
anime source to Indian television met to its end.
But I hope that again some
day, it will come back and this time get what it really deserves.
